Business analysis is a disciplined process of discovery. Starting
from early conversations with key stakeholders, an understanding
of business needs is developed. Correlation of these needs to
organizational objectives is essential in ensuring projects
are met with acceptance and support from the business.
Requirements gathering is conducted using stakeholder interviews,
group workshops and/or JAD sessions. Information is documented
and detailed requirements are modelled. This model is indexed
and user, functional, design, interface, non-functional and
performance analysis are built. Once the requirements model
is complete, stakeholder validation is conducted with the
business. This is required to be sure that the model reflects
what the business needs.
While several techniques exist for documenting requirements
to high-level designs, we use the Unified Modelling language
(UML). UML provides a language to create easily understood
diagrams that are used to create a high-level design of your
solution. Northern ATI provides experts in UML that possess
excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to put your
staff at ease, by explaining technology in plain language.
